AW16: Switchable Bag Straps

The idea of customising clothes and accessories seems to be a major theme in trends recently (see iron-on patches and bag charms). Fendi are at the head of it all, after the success off their furry bag charms they are now leading the way with their recent Strap You campaign. As you can see below, Fendi have a released a number of colourful bag straps in a range of prints and textures, and high street stores are now getting in on the action.

Some of the bag straps over at Fendi are £1500+ each, which of course isn't exactly within everyone's budget. I, of course, picked my substitute up from Accessorize (because I work there!) and went for this red camera bag and this snakeskin patchwork bag strap.

The bag also comes in a few different colours and there's multiple straps available. Saving a few hundred quid you can still get the look inspired by Fendi. Zara also has their own spin on customising their handbags. Not only are they doing the whole bag strap thing, they're introducing interchangeable bag "flaps" as well, so you can change from leopard print to snakeskin day to day.

Here are my outfits where I've worn the bag so far, I love it! The first outfit here is more sporty, with a crop top and slip on trainers - nice and casual for a shopping day with Sam. The second time I've dressed it up with a shirt and heeled boots for lunch out with my girls Tasha and Megan. Outfit details at the bottom, thank you for reading! xxx
