A five star dining experience in Dubai Marina

Pier 7 has long been a favorite destination of ours, whether it's a birthday or just another Tuesday in Dubai. It is barely a 10 minute walk from my apartment, and it has 7 restaurant and bar options inside - there's really no excuse.

I've lived in Dubai for nearly 18 months, and although I have visited the top floor quite a few times on Tuesdays (for ladies nights) and Thursdays (the start of the weekend!) I had never ventured to the restaurant.

We went to Atelier M to try their dinner menu for the first time and I have to say I'm beyond impressed. To be frank, it certainly wouldn't make it onto my blog if it's not worth sharing with you all. Before I get on to the food, I have to highlight how fab the staff were too, as they were extremely attentive and I couldn't ask for better service
.

I started with tuna tartare, and Gen went for the burrata so we could both try both. Here's the part where I've failed as a blogger as I didn't manage to get a picture of it before we started. As if you need any more reason to order burrata, it was so creamy and delicious I honestly couldn't keep my fork off Gen's plate.

For the main, we both went for the Wagyu beef rib and, here's the most exciting bit, truffle potato. Wow wow wow. The meat was so soft and since the mash featured possibly my favorite ingredient, I have to say this was best meal I've found in Pier 7 (sorry, Asia Asia).

For dessert, in true Dubai fashion, we were served a 24 karat gold apple - the outer layer white chocolate and the inside layer a fruit mousse. It really did taste as good as it looked.
